【Description of Item】
The origin of the current GR 86 is the sports grade Levin, which appeared in 1972 as a high-performance model of the second-generation Corolla, and its sister car, the Sprinter Trueno. It was originally a two-door model of the Corolla, a small, popular car, equipped with a 1.6-liter DOHC engine from the Celica GT, a higher-class specialty car, and was designed to meet the needs of motorsports (rally/circuit driving) competitions, which began to become more popular in Japan in the 1970s. The exterior distinguishing feature from a regular Corolla is the screw-fastened over fenders on all four wheels. Although this car was a Japan-only model, it is now counted as a globally famous car as the ancestor of the AE86 Levin, which is popular worldwide, and its sister car, the Sprinter Trueno. In Japan, it is often called the "Ninana Levin" because of its model number, the TE27. Hot Wheels has recreated this car using a new mold. It has been customized with a rear spoiler and a chin spoiler. It is also worth noting that the car name on the card is written in Japanese.
